How to Adjust 3D Floor Plan Settings

As you create your 3D floor plan, you have the flexibility to customise its settings to enhance your experience. You can adjust the unit of measurements – such as feet or metres – to match your preferences. You can rotate the 3D floor plan to adjust the angle. You can change the view settings to add helpful tools like grids, rulers, room labels and more to make it easier to navigate your plan. And finally, you can remove cutaway walls in Dollhouse view for a clearer, unobstructed view.
To make any of these adjustments, open up your 3D floor plan, then select the Gear icon at the top of your plan. The dropdown menu will appear with all the options – let's go over each one.

Adjust Unit of Measurement
Under unit of measurements, you can change the preferred measurement type you use in your 3D floor plans. Options include Feet, Inches, Metres, Centimetres and Millimetres.
Select the circle next to the preferred unit. Your 3D floor plan measurements will automatically update to show that unit type. You can easily go back into the menu to adjust again if needed.
This setting is available on both on desktop and the mobile app.

Rotate Floor Plan
Under rotate floor plan, you can quickly rotate your floor plan 90 degrees to the right or left – multiple clicks will help you rotate by 180 or 270 degrees. In the open text box, you can also input a custom angle for a quick change.
Your 3D floor plan will automatically save to this rotation, and any clients or team members you share it with will also see this view. You can easily go back into the menu to adjust again if needed.
This setting is available on desktop only, though you do have the chance to rotate a room scan on the mobile app before it is saved.

Adjust Floor Plan View Settings
Under floor plan view settings, you can make changes to what information you would like to include on your floor plan. You can check or uncheck the box next to each setting to turn it on or off. This includes:
- Grids — The box grid background on your floor plan.
- Rulers — Any ruler lines added to your floor plan.
- Room Labels — Any room label names (ex: Kitchen, Living Room) added to your floor plan.
- Room Area — The room surface area measurements on your floor plan.
- Room Scan Photos — Any room scan photos you took during the mobile app scanning process (learn more here).
- Wall Dimensions — The wall measurements on your floor plan.
- Window/Door Dimensions — The window and door measurements on your floor plan (can only turn this on if wall dimensions are also enabled).
- Outer Dimensions — The exterior building measurements on your floor plan.
- Room Splits — Any room splits that divide up open concept spaces into more specific rooms (learn more here).
- Warnings — Any alerts that help you identify issues with your floor plan, like incomplete walls.
These settings are available on desktop – only rulers, wall dimensions, and grids are available on the mobile app.

Adjust Dollhouse Settings
Under Dollhouse settings, you can adjust whether you want to show or hide walls when viewing your floor plan in Dollhouse view.
If you check the box next to Show Cutaway Walls, your walls will all appear in Dollhouse view, as shown below. If you uncheck the box next to Show Cutaway Walls, your front walls will disappear so you can better view the inside of your floor plan.
This setting is only available on desktop.
