How to Create Selection Board Templates
Most projects start with the same core set of products. Templates let you save an existing selections board, or create one from scratch, to reuse across projects, reducing setup time and repetitive work. Built to incorporate placeholders, selections board templates make it faster and more efficient to start the selection process for any project.

Create a Selections Board Template
To create a new selections board template, you can either save an existing board as a template or create one from scratch. Let's look at both options:
Save Existing Board as Template
If you already have a selections board set up that you want to reuse for future projects, all you have to do is open the board and select Save as Template from the Actions menu at the top.

Note that approval statuses, comments and other content (floor plans, mood boards, files) won’t carry over when saving a board as a template. Only library items, placeholders and sections will be saved. Item order may change.
Give your template a clear name that lets you easily identify it later, then click Create.

You will be redirected to the new template you just created, where you have the ability to duplicate or delete it from the Actions menu, or click Use Template in the top right to use it in a project right away. You can also edit the existing content or add more items or placeholders.

Create Template From Scratch
To create a new selections board template from scratch, go to the Selection Boards section of your Templates page, which can be found under the Company icon in the left navigation. From here, click Create New Template.

Give your template a clear name that lets you easily identify it later, then click Create.

Now you're ready to build out your new selections board template. Use the right panel to add and/or create items and placeholders. Organise the board with sections and relevant descriptions and info.

Once you're done building your template, you can duplicate or delete it from the Actions menu, or click Use Template in the top right to use it in a project right away.

Use a Selections Board Template
Templates can be applied to new and existing selection boards. Let's see how:
Create New Board with Template
If you have one or more templates available, you will see the option to apply one when you create a new selections board, either from the home page, All Selection Boards page, or project-specific Selection Boards page. Use the dropdown in the modal to select the desired template and it will be applied to the new board.

Apply Templates to Existing Boards
If you already have a selections board created, you can still apply part or all of an existing template to it. Simply open the board and click on Templates from the right panel. Here you will see all available templates listed. Click on the template that you want to use — this will not apply anything yet, you will have the option to choose which parts of the template you want to use.

Within the template selected, you will see all available elements that can be applied to the current board. You can add all items in the template by clicking "Add All (xx) Items" at the top of the list. To add an individual item, click the + on the item name. You can also add sections if you have defined them.

View & Edit Selection Board Templates
All of your selection board templates can be viewed in your main Templates page, which can be found under the Company icon in the left navigation. Click Selection Boards from the menu on the left to see just board templates.
From here you can hover over a template to bring up your options, including Edit Template, Use Template (+ icon), and Duplicate or Delete (three dots icon). You can also update the name and description of a template by clicking directly on the relevant field.
