How to Customise the Takeoff Summary
The Takeoff Summary brings all your measurements together in one clear, centralised page so you can move smoothly from Takeoff to Estimate.
Within the summary, you can create custom Takeoff Views by choosing specific plans and pages to include. This makes it easy to organise your work by floor, trade, or stage of work. Saved Views are shared at the project level, so anyone with Takeoff access for the project can use the same Views for a consistent, tailored experience.
You can also customise your summary by hiding or showing columns. These preferences are tied to your account only, and they will save and carry over across every Takeoff you use — not just the current View.

Takeoff Summary Overview
To access the Takeoff Summary page, open up the relevant Takeoff from either the Project menu, Lead menu, or the All Takeoffs menu. Once the Takeoff loads, select the Review & Estimate button at the top right of your screen.

The Takeoff Summary will appear. Here, you will see a concise list of all your measurements and counts.
To create new custom Views for your entire team to see, select the Plus sign next to Main View. To adjust the columns you personally see in the summary, select the Customise Your View button. Or, you can select Create Estimate at the top right of your screen to convert this summary to an estimate.
Let's go over how to create custom Views and adjust the columns.
Create Takeoff Views
By default, the Main View will include all plans and pages from your Takeoff. If you want to customise which specific plans and pages you want to include, you can create a new Takeoff View.
It's important to note that when you create a new View, all the exports, downloads and estimates will be created with the View you are active on.
To create a new View, select the + sign.

A new screen will appear. At the top, type in the View name. Below, you can further customise your View by selecting specific plans and pages you want to include.

You can then choose to organise the data by Plan and Page, Plan Only, or All Plans Combined.
For Plan and Page, it will split all your measurements by both your plan and page, as shown below.

For Plan Only, it will combine the measurements across different pages in that particular plan. For example, polygon 1 will be added to the other room shapes, as shown below.

For All Plans Combined, the same group will be added up across all the different plan and pages you selected.

Select the relevant option depending on what you need, then click Save New View.
The new View will appear at the top of your summary page so you can easily return to it every time you and your team work. Saved Views are automatically shared across your team at the project level only.
You can save up to 12 custom Views, but once you have more than four Views, you will see a dropdown appear. Click on the dropdown to see all the custom Views and select which one you need.

Edit Takeoff Views
If you would like to edit a View, click the three dots icon next to the View name. Here, you can:
- Set as Default: This will move that View to the front of the list and automatically show that View every time you work.
- Edit View: This will allow you to rename and change the plan and page filter options for that View (you cannot edit the Main View).
- Duplicate: This will duplicate the View and all its customizations so you can create a new View.
- Delete: This will delete an existing View (you cannot delete the Main View).

Adjust Takeoff Column Settings
In addition to creating custom Views for your team, you can also personalise your own Takeoff Summary to only show the relevant columns you need. This is especially helpful if you want to hide unnecessary columns, such as Height/Width, Depth, Pitch, or Multiplier.
Once customised, your column settings are saved to your user profile and will apply consistently across all projects and leads. Other team members will not see your settings, but they can set up their own personalised columns as well.
To adjust, click the Customise Your View button on the right side underneath Create Estimate.

A new screen will appear. Here, you can toggle on specific columns to show them in the summary, or toggle them off to hide them. Key columns — such as Measurement and Total Measurement — are required to remain on to avoid breaking calculations. We also suggest to keep pricing turned on if you want to see exactly what pricing will be used when creating an estimate.
As you make changes, you can always select Reset to Defaults to go back to the original settings. By default, every column is toggled on.
Be sure to click Save once complete. You will now see your changes directly on your Takeoff Summary.
