How to Generate Open Transactions Reports
With the Open Transactions Reports on Houzz Pro, you can easily see which documents have outstanding transactions (partially paid or unpaid) across all projects. This allows you to follow up on any upcoming or overdue balances and plan your cash flow accordingly. These are the types of open transaction reports currently available:
Open Invoices Report
- A detailed report of unpaid and partially paid invoices, including aging information, so you can track owed payments.

Accessing Open Transactions Reports
To access your open transactions reports in Houzz Pro, select the Company icon from your navigation, then select Financial Reports from the left menu. Find the Open Transactions section and click on View Report next to the relevant report type.

Once in the report, you will see a summary of the relevant totals at the top, along with breakdown of open documents and their payment details. Click on a project name or document code to be taken directly to it.

Be sure to scroll to the right to see all available columns, including Outstanding Balance and Overdue Balance. You can customise which columns are shown, and in what order, by using the Columns Settings dropdown at the top (more on that below).
Click on the information icon in the Overdue Balance column to see a Payment Breakdown, including how many days past due the payment(s) is.

Understanding the Report Totals
At the top of each report you will see various calculated totals according to the report type and filters that have been selected. Here is what each one means:
Open Invoices Report Totals
- Amount: Sum of all scheduled payments (paid and unpaid) across all open invoices
- Total Paid: Sum of payments received across all open invoices
- Outstanding Balance: Sum of scheduled payments yet to be paid (upcoming and overdue)
- Overdue Balance: Sum of scheduled payments past their due date (overdue)

To hide or show these totals at the top of the report, simply click the Show Totals icon in the top right.

Filtering and Sorting the Reports
You can easily narrow your results by using the various filters at the top, including date, project, status (draft, sent, partially paid), state (issued or not issued) and payment status (all, balance due or overdue).Â
Make sure to click Generate Report to update the report view.

Adjust Column Settings
To customise which columns are shown in your report, open the Columns Settings dropdown and toggle on/off the ones you want to show or hide. To rearrange the columns, click and drag them up or down within the dropdown to position them accordingly.

Exporting the Report
You can also export the Open Transactions Reports as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking the Export Excel button on the top right of the report.
