How to Turn Off Online Payments

Houzz Pro online payments are an easy, convenient and secure way to streamline your payment process from clients. Setting up online payments is fast and easy — read this article for a step-by-step guide.

If you have already set up online payments but would like to turn it off, there are several ways to do this. You can:

  • Turn off the online payment option for all projects
  • Turn off the online payment option for a specific project
Disable Online Payments for All Projects

If you would like to completely remove the online payment option for future projects and/or all existing projects, you can do this within the Settings section of your Houzz Pro account. Only admins have the ability to make this adjustment to all online payment settings.

To start:

Click on the Settings icon in your left navigation, then select Online Payments from the menu. Click Edit to the right of the Default Payment Settings section.

There will be a dropdown menu for Credit Card payments. If you would like to remove each payment type, select Never - Future Projects & Leads, or Never - All Projects & Leads.

Never - Future Projects & Leads will change online payment options for all new projects and leads moving forward, but it will not remove online payment options for all existing projects and leads.

Never - All Projects & Leads will change online payment options for all new projects and leads, as well as all existing projects and leads.

Be sure to click Save Changes once complete.

Disable Online Payments for Individual Projects

If you would prefer to turn off online payments for individual projects instead of on a broader account level, you can do this within the project settings.

To start:

Click on the Projects icon in your left navigation, then select the relevant project from the menu. Click the pencil icon under the project name to edit project details.

Within the Edit Project page, scroll down to the Online Payment Methods section. There will be a dropdown menu for Credit Card payments. If you would like to remove online payments, select Never from the dropdown. Your changes will automatically save.

If you make online payment option adjustments to an individual project, it will not change any other project. If you would like to adjust on an account level for all projects, please read the instructions above.
